Nium is a multi-cultural team, with members from 12+ countries and 15+ nationalities. So that we can all work together, we use English as our official business language. Whatever role you’re applying for, you will need to have a good working knowledge of English to join our global team.

Yes, you can. If you think you’re a good fit for more than one role, you can apply for both. However, we recommend choosing a maximum of two roles to apply for.
Yes, you can. But it’s best to apply only after a period of at least six months. This will give you a chance to gain additional experience and strengthen your application.

We get a lot of applications for every job. That means we can only contact people who we’re inviting to interview.
For some roles, we invite candidates to record a one-minute video of themselves. We want to know why you want to work with Nium, why you’re a great fit, and how you want to grow your career with us. Some people feel nervous about recording a video, but it doesn’t have to be intimidating. Try think of it as talking to a friend on a video call. But, for most of you we will just screen your application over a call.
We’ll take a look through your application, then invite you to interview. Our interviews aren’t formal or scary. They’re friendly, two-way conversations. We’ll ask you questions about your experience, career goals and why you want to join Nium. Feel free to ask us all about Nium, your team and your role.
If that goes well, we’ll invite you to more interview rounds. We’ll get to know each other, helping you figure out if Nium is a great fit for you, and helping us find out if you’re a great fit for Nium.
How it works
Every interview at Nium is a two-way conversation. We do our best to put you at ease right from the start. First, you’ll have a video or telephone interview with one of our recruiters. It’s a friendly chat about you, the role, and your background. If all goes well, we’ll invite you for a second interview with a technical focus. The final round usually involves meeting team members from across the business. We’ll let you know who they are at every stage, and give you lots of time to prepare. By meeting people from across Nium, you’ll get a good feel for who we are, how we work and why we love what we do.
Yes! We use Microsoft Teams for all our remote interviews, and for the more technical stuff, Code-sandbox.
We know how important feedback is for career development, so we’ll always do our best to provide it if we can. There may be some times where giving detailed feedback just isn’t possible, but we’ll let you know if this is the case.
How to prepare
In your first call, the recruiting team will give you more information about your interview. We want you to succeed, so we’ll give you every chance to win at interview.
In general, be prepared to answer questions about your experience, skills, and career goals. We’re also considering a few other things: Do your values align with our values? Do you take ownership of your work and take pride in what you deliver? Are you adaptable and driven? Are you a team player? These are the questions we’ll be asking ourselves as we interview you. Make it easy for us to see how well you answer them.
We review all the information from your interviews, comparing candidates in a way that’s fair and free from bias. If we see that you’re the best person for the job, and if you decide that Nium is right for you, then it’s time for an offer.
We’ll create a job offer that’s as unique as you are. We’ll hope you accept, and start getting ready to welcome you to the team!

We aim to let everyone know about their application within one week. If you don’t hear from us within a week, it could be due to a high volume of applications, or because your application was not successful at this time. Yes, we do. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, most of our workforce now works remotely. In fact, we’ll even help you set up your home office. You’ll get a one-time payment to help with home office costs, plus a monthly allowance for working remotely.
